Here in this post I'm going to write about an amazing gift from nature. We named it as Rainforest. Forests which help to bring rain are known as rainforests. They are very useful to a country or the world because they directly contribute to bringing rain to the earth. When there are no rainforests on the earth there is no rain at all. If there is no water all human activities will come to standstill because nothing can be done without sufficient water.
If there is no water there will not be any plants or animals on the earth. Then it would be a desert. It is water which gives life to animals and plants. That is why it is known as the lifeblood of animals and plants. As I mentioned earlier, actually the rainforest is like the gifts from nature. Rainforests are mainly found in Asia, Australia, South and Central America and Africa.
Sinharaja is the largest rainforest which has become the habitat of many animals and birds, which is situated in my country. This is named as the first national heritage of Sri Lanka by UNESCO. Nowadays careless people who enter these forests try to destroy them for their personal purposes. We have stop these kinds of selfish works. It is our responsibility to protect these valuable rainforests for future generations.
