I like to visit so many places in my country that I never visited early. Among those places that I am most attracted to is Sigiriya. This huge and attractive rock is situated in the Central province in my country. Because of this Sigiriya rock, Dambulla town is very popular among Sri Lankans as well as foreigners.
I am attracted to this place because of its architectural significance. King Kashyapa is the designer of this rock fortress. I mostly like to see the beauty of the surrounding area in Sigiriya. Also I love to see the valuable and amazing frescoes in this place. Because of its beauty and its ancient value, Sigiriya is named as a world heritage by UNESCO.
I heard and read so many details about this place and saw so many pictures of this place. Also my friends who visited there, shared their experience of visiting this place. Therefore, I look forward to experiencing the beauty of the environment around Sigiriya and climbing the Sigiriya rock to see the views of the fort.
